The park hosts over 75 mammal species like black-backed jackal, bat-eared fox, aardwolf, cheetah, Giraffes etc. and 475 bird species like Egyptian vulture, Pygmy falcon, 18 Days Uganda Primates, Ostrich, Verreaux’s eagle, Yellow-rumped Seedeater, Karamoja apalis etc. Your visit to this park will give an opportunity to see 4 mammals of the big five family (Lions, Leopards, Buffaloes, Elephants).

Itinerary

Uganda is very diverse and each national park is very unique and this 4 days best of Kidepo valley national park is a chance to explorer this hidden gem. This trip takes you to the most isolated but rich national park in Uganda. From the best topography for the photographers to the diverse wildlife, Kidepo valley national park is the best destination in East Africa. It is located in the North Eastern part of Uganda in Karamoja region. Kidepo valley national park The Park covers an area of 1,442 km squared and is a hidden gem of Uganda that mostly go unnoticed. In 2018 it was voted by CNN as one of the top three destination for tourists in Africa due to the geography of the area. Perfect for videography and photography. Arid associated species like ostrich, Kori bustard and other which are unique in the region are all found in Kidepo valley. This is the only national park in Uganda where you can sight a pack of wild dogs and cheetahs. Other attractions like leopards, lion and hyenas among others are also sighted in this national park. Along Narus valley, you can sight big herds of elephants, buffaloes and other species while on your game drive in this amazing national park. With different bird species, this savanah park is a home to 470 bird species.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport - transfer to your hotel

Day 1 of the 4 Days Uganda Safari to Kidepo Valley National Park will start with a pick up from Entebbe International Airport by our professional driver guide from Mutanda Gorilla Tours who will brief you about the 4 Days Uganda Safari to Kidepo Valley National Park. He will then transfer you to your hotel for relaxation as you get ready for your road transfer. Dinner and overnight stay. Day2: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National park – Evening Game Drive

On the 2nd day of the 4 Days Uganda Safari to Kidepo Valley National Park, you will have your breakfast and then head to Kidepo Valley National Park. You will enjoy the scenic view of hills in Acholi land and it will furthermore get exciting upon reaching the Karamoja areas with the view of the Manyattas (the homesteads) which is unique to their culture. However, after crossing seasonal rivers, you will then arrive in the park and check into your lodge for lunch and prepare for an evening game drive. You will also enjoy watching the big herds of buffaloes in the Narus valley and also some chances to spot big cats like lions, leopards and cheetahs. Kidepo valley national park is the only park in Uganda to site cheetahs. You will then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Day3: Full Day in Kidepo Valley National Park- Morning Game Drive - Community Encounter.

Day 3 will start early in the morning where you get your packed breakfast and head to a game drive. This is the best time to see predators like lions and hyenas among others in action. You will site different wildlife like herds of buffaloes and elephants, big cats like leopards and lions on your early morning game drive. Kanangorok hot spring is another highlight you will see in your adventure of this beautiful park. You will return to your lodge for hot lunch and short rest. Later in the evening, you will have a visit to Karamajong village, just similar to the Masaai tribe of Kenya. Additionally, you will enter into their huts as you appreciate their community settlement in their huts called Manyattas. Lastly, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Day4: Morning Game drive and transfer to Kampala

You will wake up early morning and thereafter check out of your lodge, you will then exit the park with a game drive. On your way out of the park, you will additionally sight wildlife like herds of buffaloes and elephants among others in the northern part of the park crossing Kidepo River. You will then have lunch on the way and then proceed to Kampala. You will then be driven to Entebbe international airport for your flight or to your Hotel and this will mark the end of your 4 Days Uganda Safari to Kidepo Valley National Park.
