3 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari

Day 1 of the 3 days Uganda Gorilla safari starts with a warm welcome by our professional driver guide from Mutanda Gorilla Tours. Who will meet and greet you. Firstly, you will be briefed about the 3 days Uganda Gorilla safari.  Then after you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park by Air where you will land at Kihihi or Kisoro Airstrip. This one-hour flight will introduce you to the amazing nature of Uganda where you will enjoy the aerial view of the green vegetation. On your arrival you will check in to our lodge and have dinner. You will take a good rest as you prepare for the following day. Upon waking up by the beautiful sounds of the birds singing in the sky, you will start your day 2 with an early morning breakfast. Wear appropriate clothing for the day like a long sleeved shirt, a pair of karky or jean trousers, a round cap, and water proof boots. After preparing, proceed to the park’s headquarters for a briefing on the Do’s and the Don’ts about the activity by a park ranger who will guide you during the trek and also look out for Gorilla Families. Start the search for the mountain gorillas which will take about 1 to 5 hours depending on their location. During your trek, you will encounter various primate species like the black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, grey mangabeys, and blue monkeys and bird species like handsome francolin, red headed blue bill, regal sunbird, breasted sunbird, Rwenzori turaco, purple sunbird among others. On finding the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend only one hour with them as you learn about their ways of life, how they feed and take care of their young ones, how they communicate among others. Feel free to ask as many questions as possible about these gorillas and take memorable pictures and then you will return back to your accommodation for lunch and relaxation. Later you will visit the Batwa community who were the early inhabitants of the ancient Impenetrable forest. Here, you learn about their social ways of life, how they hunt for food in their ancient ways, visit a Batwa homestead to watch how they dance and also hear ancient legends and their folk songs. Afterwards, you will return back to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight. On the last day of the 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari, you will wake up early in the morning for a hot breakfast. You will then head out for Nature walk that will provide relaxed opportunities to explore one of Uganda’s rainforests. Bwindi impenetrable Forest National Park has several nature walk trails that you can follow during the guided nature walk such as Muyangwa waterfall trail in Buhoma sector, Rushura hill walk, Buhoma-Nkuringo trail, Ivi river trail etc. During the nature walk you will sight birds like regal sunbird, Black bee-eater, Black-billed turaco, Bush shrike and many others.  After this you will be transferred back to Entebbe International airport and finally this will mark the end of the 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari.
