This 9 days Uganda wildlife & Primates safari unleashes the wonders Uganda has to offer. You will also get a chance to visit Uganda’s best national parks which include Murchison falls National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park. Safari destinations Murchison falls National Park The Safari starts in Murchison falls National Park.  It is located in North Western part of Uganda covering areas like Masindi, Buliisa, Kiryandongo, Nwoya, Amuru, and Pakwach. It is known for its immense beauty, with diverse wildlife and it’s known as the powerful waterfalls in the world. With the breathtaking view of the country’s side, you will spot mammal species like elephants, leopards, lions, buffaloes, you will also get an opportunity to view the Nile crocodiles, Hippos while on a game drive and boat cruise. Kibale Forest National Park You will then proceed to Kibale Forest National Park “primate’s capital” found in Kabarole district. It has about 13 primate species including monkeys, baboons and chimpanzees. Some of the primates include colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, Olive baboons, Anubis baboons etc.  They are all for the exploration on this amazing trip. The park also harbors over 375 species of birds like African pied wagtail, Great blue turaco, Pin-tailed whydah, Slender-billed weaver, Tropical boubou etc. Queen Elizabeth National Park From there, you will visit Queen Elizabeth National Park the 6th diverse national park in the world. It has beautiful features such as Kazinga Channel, Crater lakes, Savannah plains etc. On your mazing boat cruise, you will spot highest concentration of hippos along the Kazinga channel and other mammals and cats not forgetting the famous tree climbing lions.  There are more than 600 bird species like grey crowned cranes, Martial eagle, shoebill, African green pigeon, handsome francolin, Nubian wood pecker, swamp flycatcher, African skimmer etc. Bwindi impenetrable Forest National You will then proceed to Bwindi impenetrable Forest National Park a home to 54% of the world remaining mountain gorillas. The park has about 459 Mountain Gorillas with 21 habituated families living in all the sectors of the park which include Buhoma, Rushaga, Nkuringo, and Ruhija. You will spend a day tracking mountain gorillas, taking their pictures and enjoying their behavior however, you will have a chance to visit these amazing primates very close in their natural habitats and lastly you will visit the Batwa community and know their way of living.
Day 1 of the 9 Days Uganda Wildlife & Primate Safari will start will a pick up from Entebbe International Airport by our professional driver guide from Mutanda Gorilla Tours who will brief you about the 9 Days Uganda Wildlife & Primate Safari. He will then transfer you to Murchison falls national park via Ziwa rhino sanctuary. In Ziwa, you will track white rhinos but also you can see some antelopes, bush bucks, Uganda kobs, oribis, waterbucks and some bird species like Grey-Crowned Crane, Shoebill, African Fish Eagle, African Jacana, and Marabou Stork among other bird species can be sighted.  You will then proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Rise up early morning for a hot breakfast, you will head out for an exciting morning game drive in the park through the different trails like Buligi trail, Victoria trail and Albert trail where you can spot elephants, Giraffes, warthogs, lions, Leopards, Buffaloes, Big Cats etc. This experience is eye catching hence creating ever lasting memories. Afterwards, you will return back to the accommodation for lunch and relaxation. Later in the Afternoon, you will step out for an Afternoon boat cruise. The launch starts from Paraa dock and its sails up stream towards the falls to the Nile Delta. The cruise takes about 3 hours and here you get a chance see hippos floating, crocodiles, herds of elephants, oribis and beautiful birds. You will return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. You will wake up early morning for a hot breakfast on the 3rd of the 9 Days Uganda Wildlife & Primate Safari. You will head out for a morning game drive in the park where you will spot different animals like elephants, Giraffes, warthogs, lions, Leopards, Buffaloes,    in both the savannah and forested part of Murchison falls. After this experience, you will now hike to the top of the falls viewpoint to see, hear and feel the falls roaring. You will reach the breathtaking point where John Speke stood to affirm that Uganda is indeed the Pearl of Africa. You will hike at these falls and enjoy the stunning beauty of Uganda. Nature and animals as you contemplate the rapids of the amazing river Nile forcing in a 7 meters gorge falling more than 40 meters deep. You will return to your lodge for lunch and sign out. After this amazing Adventure, you will embark on the journey to Kibale Forest National Park where you will arrive and check in your lodge. The Day will start with an early morning heavy breakfast and then you will proceed to the briefing point by your guide. This is where you will be told about the dos and don’ts before you start off your trekking journey. This briefing is done by the professional game rangers and they make sure that you get the best experience with the primates. After the briefing, you will start off the trekking to look for chimpanzees in the forests. The Park has more than 13 primates. However you will also encounter other primates like black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, Olive baboons, L’Hoest’s monkeys. This exercise depends on where you find these primates because nature can be unpredictable in its own way. Upon finding them, you will spend one full hour with them. In the presence of the professional game ranger, you will have a lot to learn about their behaviors and way of Life. You will return to the lodge for lunch and get ready for the evening Later, you will embark on a nature in Bigodi swamp which is a guided walk. Yow will be able to spot some of the primates like monkeys when their sneaking into the gardens to steal bananas and maize from the farms. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Wake up to an early morning breakfast, there after you will be picked up by our driver guide and begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park the medley of wonders. The park is known to be the most diverse national park in Uganda. You will arrive and check in your lodge and have lunch. Relax as you prepare for the evening game drive. Afterwards, you will set out for an evening game drive in Kasenyi plains. During the game drive, you will encounter animals like buffaloes, leopards, bush pigs, and some bird species like swamp flycatcher, Marital eagle, shoe bill, Black bee eaters etc. you will take photos during the experience for memory. After the activity, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Wake up early in the morning and start your day with a heavy delicious breakfast, afterwards prepare for the morning game drive. The game drive takes place in Kasenyi plains where you will get an opportunity to see buffaloes, leopards, bush pigs, and some bird species like swamp flycatcher, Marital eagle, shoe bill, Black bee eaters etc. You will also get a chance to take photos of these animals. Thereafter you will get back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. After lunch, you will go for a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, while on the boat you will be able to sight animals like Elephants, Buffaloes, Hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks etc. and bird species like African Jacana, African skimmer, rare shoe bill etc. and other attractions of the park. After this experience, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Upon waking up in the morning, you will have a delicious breakfast then after check out from the lodge. You will start your journey to Ishasha sector in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is famous because of the tree climbing lions and this attraction is eye catching hence leaving you satisfied with the activity. You will also search for topis, monkeys, leopards etc. Thereafter, you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park which is located in the South West of Uganda in Kanungu District. You will enjoy the scenic landscape and the beautiful hills of Kigezi region. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight. Wake up early in the morning and have a hot breakfast, You will be driven to the starting point for a briefing on the Do’s and the Don’ts by a park ranger who will guide you during the trek, the trek takes about 1 to 7 hours depending on their location. You will learn a lot about their Lifestyle and behaviors. Gorillas stay in families and you will therefore have a chance to visit one of these families. As nature is unpredictable, you will look for these primates in the forest. You are advised to carrying drinking water and snacks to keep you hydrated and strong. After the experience, you will return back to your accommodation for lunch. Later in the evening, you will go for the community experience where you will encounter the Batwa community .You will learn about their way of living, cultures, dances, food and the traditional healing the sick using herbs among others. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. On this last day of your 9 Days Uganda Wildlife & Primate Safari, you will have breakfast and get ready for the road transfer back to Entebbe International Airport or Kampala.
